I just continue to be amazed and thankful for this wonderful blogging community that we have created here.
I hadn't planned on writing that last post about my Little Granny but found that I just couldn't stop myself - it was so nice to share what a wonderful woman she was. She had a beautiful military service at Fort Sam where Taps was played, rifles were fired, the Honor Guard presented my grandfather with the American Flag and my post, a Granddaughter's Goodbye, was read.
I am touched and honored that so many of you left words of sympathy and support after reading about about my Little Granny. It really does mean more to me than I can express. To think that women across the country and around the world are thinking about my Gran...it makes me so happy that my heart aches. She was a lovely woman and I am so lucky to have been her granddaughter.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
She was so cute!!!
It's so nice to have those memories.
Thanks so much for sharing her with us.

Dawn, that top picture of your Granny looks just like a picture of my Nana in the 40s. How on Earth were they sooo beautiful. Thank you for sharing your memories, it brings back treasured memories of my own... we will always have those, right :)
